Hello, my name is MEGAN LAYNE.
In 2015, I opened my photography business using my middle and maiden names. Then I met the love of my life. Before I knew it, there was a ring, a new last name, and I was providing more services. I knew it was time to return to using my first name and rebrand my business to reflect how far I've come since I started. So, Megan Layne was born. And thus, Megan Layne Event Co. and Megan Layne Photo + Film - two facets of my life and passions that come together to help you create the wedding day of your dreams.

I pride myself on being a goof ball and celebrating the ways in which we are all a little weird.
At home, Shane and I have two incredible kiddos, Connor (10) and Calliope (4), a couple of furry four legged creatures, and a lot of books; arguably too many books. I consider myself a bit of a nerd, with interests ranging from history to comics to the vastness of the universe. I can quote most of Lord of the Rings and Supernatural. On a given weeknight, you can probably catch us watching New Girl reruns or the newest episode of Ancient Aliens after the kids have gone to bed.
Escaping down to Hocking Hills for a hike, kayaking in Florida with my long-distance best friend, thrifting for vintage finds, travelling to new places, and collecting antique books are some of my favorite ways to spend my free time.
